Dr. Rohit Baijal

Dr. Rohit Baijal has been practising as a Diabetologist in Mumbai since 2003. He consults at BK Nadkarni Hospital (Parel), Thakur Hospital (Shivaji Park, Dadar), and Parikh Nursing Home (Worli). In addition, Dr. Baijal also visits Navneet Jain Health Centre at Dadar and Brahmin Yuvak Mandal at King's Circle.   

Dr. Baijal obtained his MBBS degree from KJ Somaiya Medical College, Mumbai, in 1998. Later, in 2002, he also obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Diabetology from the Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Hospital in Mumbai.

Dr. Baijal earlier worked for six months as Medical Officer with the Government of Maharashtra (after his MBBS), and for four months at SL Raheja Hospital & All India Institute of Diabetes, Mumbai (after his Diabetes Diploma).   

Dr. Baijal has worked on a large number of clinical trials and case studies initiated by multinational pharmaceutical companies. He has also attended several courses to enhance his knowledge and skills in Diabetology. These include a course in Practical Diabetology at Steno Diabetes Center (Denmark); a course on Recent Advances in Type 2 Diabetes conducted by Harvard Medical School; Lipid Management by the American College of Cardiology; and, Obesity Management by the American College of Continuing Medical Education.
